Details

Park Process’ SkimPro™ is an easy to deploy floating skimmer with an adjustable skimmer head. The SkimPro™ is designed to remove oils, fats, and other floating debris from tanks, sumps, pits, and other industrial waterways, and pollutants such as hydrocarbon from the surface of calm water. It can also be used to skim clean water from the surface of backwash tanks, lagoons, and ponds, and as a clear water decanter in SBR WWTP tanks.

The SkimPro™ is manufactured in a variety of materials, construction, and sizes to meet the unique requirements of each application. Available models include plastic (Model A), stainless steel (Model B), stainless steel with hinged arms (Model C), and stainless steel with a specially designed suction head for water skimming applications (Model D). Float arms can be extended for a more stable configuration in rougher waters. Additional floats can be added for extra stability or for larger suction pipes and skimmer heads. The SkimPro™ is available with 2”, 3”, 4”, and 6” suction pipe sizes.

How It Works

The SkimPro™ uses a weir to capture oils or other contaminants at the water’s surface. Floats are sized and positioned around the weir to accommodate the overall weight of the skimmer, and the suction head can be adjusted to be as close to the surface as desired for the application. The captured oils are suctioned through a hose that discharges outside of the tank or body of water, where they are collected in a separate vessel for further processing or compliant disposal. The SkimPro™ uses the same suctioning function in decanting applications where clear water is skimmed from the surface.

About the SkimPro™ Model A

Floatable skimmer with plastic construction.

Applications

The Park Process SkimPro is an easy to deploy floatable skimming device designed for effective contaminant control and water decanting in a wide range of applications.

Food Processing

Food processing plants use floatable skimmer to remove and reclaim oils from wastewater produced in their manufacturing and cleanup processes, which can be recycled or sold for reuse.

Emergency Spill Response

Floatable oil skimmers are an effective and easily deployed means of cleaning spilled oil or other floating contaminants out of waterways.

Chemical and Industrial Processing

Our SkimPro systems help chemical and industrial processing plants meet environmental regulations that restrict the amount of free oils released into municipal sanitary sewer systems.

Wastewater Treatment

The SkimPro is optimal for skimming and decanting processes at wastewater treatment facilities utilizing MBR and SBR systems.

Power Generation Effluent

Hydroelectric, natural gas, and coal-fired power stations utilize floating oil skimmers to ensure compliance with environmental regulations for effluent discharge.

Foam Skimming

The OilDawg™ can be installed at hydrocarbon storage facilities to effectively treat wastestreams that may be contaminated with crude oil.

Paint Skimming

The SkimPro™ floatable skimmer removes floating paint sludge from water wash paint booth processes.

Decorative Ponds

Our floatable skimmer can be used in decorative ponds to remove surface debris and algae buildup, enhancing landscapes with clearer and cleaner water.
